APPLYING FOR CHARITABLE and NON-PROFIT GRANTS

Who can apply for a grant?

Charitable and nonprofit organizations with their own IRS letter of Tax Exempt Status 501(c)(3) may apply. The organization must be located in western Massachusetts in the 413 area code and should only submit one proposal per review.

What kinds of projects or services are likely to receive funding?

The Xeric Foundation provides funds to charitable and nonprofit organizations for unique projects or services and where possible to leverage other funds. The foundation was not designed to assist with operating budgets or capital costs. In the event of a priority or set focus for a particular grant period, a press release will be issued.

What is the range of grants awarded?

Small grants are encouraged. Grants generally don't exceed $5000. If you are requesting in excess of this amount, please indicate if you can use a smaller amount of funds.
